Who Am I as a Communicator?

During this week, I had the opportunity to observed someone and gave my opinions. So I put a picture of myself on a blank document and answer some questions. If I was evaluated my self as a student or educator. This week assignment was very resourceful; especially when meeting new people without any knowledge of their background or history. Many people have evaluated me as being quiet but bossy. They believed I am a well rounded communicator as in I listen to everyone values and beliefs. I believed everyone should have a fair chance in sharing ideas. I have incorporate many of thee ideas with my children and their families.

  1. I liked that you called yourself a well rounded communicator--that is so important in our work with children and families. Families and children do not come in "one size" fits all so we too need to be able to modify our communication needs to meet their needs as well.

  2. Tameka,
I bet it was very interesting to see the results of looking at your picture. I think that will be a good exercise to use to see what someone else's first impressions are about you. I agree with you, everyone should have a fair chance in sharing ideas because we are all different and may not have the same views.
