I was going to be something special in this world. I love her so much for that encourage through the years. She told me my favorite book was "Cat in the Hat" and I was reading it since I was two. She told me from that I was going to be a teacher and an educator. She wanted me to become a better woman than she was. When he left this world, it seems like my whole world came crashing down. I did not know what I was going to do with life. My father always told me to stay in school. So I can teach him how to read and spell. He is the reason why I choose this field. He would always tell me to become the best teacher I can be. Never be like those teachers he had, that just push him to the next grade. So I continue to strive to be best at what I do. Now that was a great man, I pray I meet a man that would fit into his shoes.

ReplyDeleteTameka-
ReplyDeleteWhat a touching tribute to a family that has seen both good times and hard times. I lost my father when I was 20 and it was the hardest things I have been through. However, I am stronger today because of him. Your family looks and sounds like the best support you could ask for!!
Tameka,
ReplyDeleteFrom your post it appears you had a large web of support as a child and now as an adult. Did you have a hard time narrowing it down to 5?
